Prevention: Use doormats at entrances to reduce dirt accumulation. Avoid dragging heavy furniture across the rug.
Shedding: It’s normal for new rugs to shed. Vacuum gently to control shedding, which should lessen over time.
Protect from Sun: Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause fading; consider using blinds or rotating the rug regularly.

The Design Story
This rug features a rust field filled with an allover array of Shah Abbas palmettes, lotus blossoms, and curling saz leaves in soft gold, pale blue, camel, and charcoal, arranged in a loose mirrored symmetry that reads as a blooming garden. The navy border, framed by smaller rust and teal guards, reflects Mahal–Sultanabad weaving from the Arak region of western Iran, where late‑19th‑ and early‑20th‑century workshops adapted classical Safavid floral designs into decorative room‑size carpets prized for their bold red‑and‑blue palettes and relaxed drawing.
