Deep Cleaning: Professional cleaning recommended every 12-18 months, depending on usage. Alternatively, use a carpet cleaner.
Prevention: Use doormats at entrances to reduce dirt accumulation. Avoid dragging heavy furniture across the rug.
Shedding: It’s normal for new rugs to shed. Vacuum gently to control shedding, which should lessen over time.
Protect from Sun: Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause fading; consider using blinds or rotating the rug regularly.

The Design Story
This rug features a muted blue field covered in a finely ordered allover Herati lattice, with small rosettes, diamond florets, and “fish” leaves arranged in tight vertical rows in rust, camel, ivory, and soft gold. A darker teal border of larger rosettes and scrolling vines, framed by narrow guard stripes, subtly recalls Sultanabad and Mahal workshop influences while preserving the eastern Herati/Mahi origin that traces back to Herat in present‑day Afghanistan and spread across Persia as a symbol of abundance and flowing water.
